Someone once famously said "location, location, location," when asked how to make money in the real estate market. While the innkeepers at The Fulton House are not interested in real estate speculation, we do believe that our location is one of the primary reasons that make us such a spectacular place to stay.

Look at a map of Portland and you'll see that downtown is located in the Southwest quadrant of the City. So is The Fulton House. We're only about 5 minutes from downtown driving, or 10 minutes if you take the bus, which picks you up a mere half-block away. Then, there's our proximity to local universities for parents visiting their youngsters or in town for their graduation. We're extremely close to Lewis & Clark and just across the Willamette River from Reed. You can be at either in well less than 10 minutes.

Interstate 5, both north and south, is easy to access from The Fulton House, as is Interstate 84 going east and Sunset Highway going west. So, whether you're heading to the beach, Mt. Hood, Salem or Washington State, you'll waste no time stopping at frequent traffic lights or stop streets.

One other advantage we offer -- a wide variety of local services (dry cleaners, grocery stores, microbrewery, beauty salon, barber shop, etc.) are within walking distance and, since they are neighborhood establishments, their charges will go easy on your wallet. And there are more than a dozen good neighborhood restaurants (Italian, Thai, Chinese, Mexican, pizza, deli, fish house and several others) real close to The Fulton House, many within easy walking distance.

Finally, look at your Portland map again and note that we're located a short block from Willamette Park, the Willamette River, the Spring Water Trail and the famous Willamette Greenway, the last perfect for strolling or biking. Come visit us and enjoy the delights of Portland. But make your reservations early since warmer weather is already here.
